Abstract

Background. The article aims at studying the features of humoral immune responses in patients with hysterical disorders.
Materials and methods. The study included 13 men and 82 women aged 18 to 60 years. Five groups of patients were formed – group № 1 (n = 41) included patients with hysterical neurosis, № 2 (n = 19) – with hysterical personality development, № 3 (n = 11) – with a hysterical psychopathy, № 4 – with hysteric-type torpid schizophrenia, № 5 - with hysterical manifestations of epilepsy. Conventional methods defined subpopulations of lym-phoid cells of B-lymphocytes, the content of immunoglobulins A, M and G, the level of small, medium and large circulating immune complexes, complement activity of blood serum.
Results. Humoral immunity depends on the depth and severity of hysterical disorders, duration of the disease. Dysfunction of humoral responses in the form of changes in the concentration of immunoglobulins and complement activity of blood serum, as well as the ratio of circulating immune complexes of varying molecular weights less pronounced with hysterical neurosis, with a tendency to increase in the development of the hysterical personality and hysterical psychopathy and is most pronounced in histerical-type torpid schizophrenia, epilepsy with hysterical manifestations.
Conclusions: Changes in humoral immunity factors indicate the involvement of the immune system in the pathogenetic mechanisms of conversion dis-orders, and confirm the need to survey the immune status of patients suffering from various forms of hysterical disorders. The identified imbalance of immune responses presupposes the use of immunomodulators in the treatment of these diseases.

Key words

humoral immunity rates, hysterical disorders, immunomodulators.
